1. Ahmadou Babatoura Ahidjo---
Born in Garoua on 24th August 1924, Ahmadou Babatoura Ahidjo took active part in the French Cameroun during 1940. After the country gained independence in 1960, he was selected as the President of the country and in the subsequent years of 1965, 1970, 1975 and 1980 he was again re-elected for the post. Ahmadou Babatoura Ahidjo political career has seen various up's and down's as in the year 1960 members of a lesser known political party Union of the Peoples of Cameroon rose in strong rebellion against his policies which was however met with strong defiance by him and finally the rebellion came to a halt in the year 1970. Towards the early part of 1970 he adopted constitution which marked the end of the autonomy of British Cameroon and led to the formation of unitary form of government rule in the country. On 6th November 1982, he resigned from his post doe to arising political differences with his peers. He breathed his last breath on 30th November 1989 in Dakar, the capital city of Senegal.
2. Paul Biya---
Actual president of Cameroon, Paul Biya was born on 13th February 1933. He had humble beginnings and spent his early days in the village of Mvomeka'a situated in the Centre-South Province which was earlier known as French Cameroon. He took admission at the famous Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris, where he graduated in the year 1961. Paul Biya's political career received a jolt when he served under the leadership of President Ahmadou Ahidjo and thereafter became the Prime Minister in 1975. After the Ahidjo's resignation on November 6, 1982, Biya became president and during his tenure till date he initiated a lot of reform measures in the field of economic development aided by well defined policies that helped the country achieve great heights of success in the international sphere too.
3. Adama bi Ardo Hassana---
Popularly known as a 'Fulani' scholar and often regarded as a holy warrior, Adama bi Ardo Hassana is commonly known as Modibo Adama was born in 1786. It's commonly believed that he organized a jihad in the region of Fumbina which ultimately led to the Fulani colonization. He was a great military warrior as well as a good administrator too as he well structured the administration system of his administrative area. He finally died in the year 1847.
4. Ed'son de Pary
Popular guy in Cameroon, though simple, Ed'son is someone who has proven that you could be real, yourself and be effectif in the real-life. Ed'son is trying to implement a new working mentality in Cameroon. Through out his life, this guy has been trying to bring modernity to some villages in his country, and the total democratisation of his home nation.
